Ashtray from the 1966 Senior World Championships. Held in Moscow July 6 through 16, Soviet fencers won three of the four individual events and swept the medals in Women’s Foil. In the team events, they won two Gold and two Silver medals.

A recent Ebay purchase, this Novice Epee Team Tournament plaque features some very prominent names from fencing history. The first year on the trophy is 1942 and the last is 1959. Where it’s been since then is anyone’s guess.
