1953 Trophy foil for the Halberstadt Women’s Foil Open won by Tommy Angell, from the Charles Selberg collection. For many years Hans Halberstadt created a presentation weapon for first place at his two self-titled events, the Halberstadt Sabre for men and the Halberstadt Foil for women. The Halberstadt Sabre began in 1947. The Halberstadt scrapbooks do not preserve as clear a record for the Women’s Foil event. Also unclear is how this foil came into Charlie Selberg’s possession.
