Plaque presented to Ferenc Marki upon his retirement. Maestro Ferenc Marki, originally from Hungary, taught in Italy and Brazil before settling in San Francisco. He assumed the post of head coach at the Pannonia Athletic Club after the passing of fellow Hungarian, George Piller. This plaque was presented to him upon his retirement from coaching at San Francisco State University. He also taught at San Francisco City College and Mills College in Oakland. This plaque, along with some other memorabilia from his long and storied career, was donated to the Archive by Maestro Marki’s daughter.
