The 1951 First Place trophy for the Gerda d’Egnuff Women’s Foil competition. This foil was won by Francis “Fran” Carter. I haven’t yet tracked down what year this tournament began, or for how many years it was held. This weapon was donated along with a box of medals from Fran Carter’s fencing career, a number of which will be featured for the next several weeks in the Relic Spotlight.
