A trio of medals, gold, silver and bronze from the Colonel Laurance Brownlee collection. From the 1960-61 season, these medals were issued by the Northern California Division of the AFLA. Colonel Brownlee won bronze in Open Foil Team, silver in Group 3 epee and gold in Group 3 foil. In earlier years, rather than Groups, divisions divided fencers among Novice, Intermediate and Open competitions. When Groups became a thing and how they were delineated is unclear.
