A personal medal from Jack Baker to Colonel Laurance Brownlee. No date. 2.5 by 3.5 inches, weighing in at over 200 grams or nearly half a pound. It’s a hefty piece. Jack Baker was a long-time administrator for the NorCal division, which he grew into the second largest in the nation. He also won two National Championships in sabre team with the Pannonia Athletic Club and was Vice-President of the (then) AFLA. This medal is from the collection of Colonel Laurance Brownlee that was donated to the Archive by his daughter. Over the next several weeks, I’ll be including many more items from this collection.
